Old Tbilisi tour
Itinerary Transfer from the hotel to the city center. We begin by taking photos before riding the cable car up to Narikala Fortress. Here you will also see the Mother of Georgia monument and enjoy one of the finest panoramic views of Old Tbilisi.
From the fortress walls, we descend into the National Botanical Garden of Georgia, where you will discover a variety of exotic plants, picturesque bridges crossing the gorge, and a beautiful waterfall. On warm days, you can even cool your feet in the refreshing water beneath the waterfall.
Leaving the Botanical Garden, we continue to Abanotubani, Tbilisi’s oldest district, famous for its historic sulfur bathhouses. If you wish, you can enjoy a relaxing bath here (the name “Tbilisi” comes from the Georgian word for “warm,” referring to the city’s natural hot springs).
Next, we walk through an underground passage to the banks of the Mtkvari (Kura) River, beneath the historic Metekhi Church, which stands dramatically on a cliff overlooking the river. From here, you will enjoy a relaxing boat ride along the Mtkvari.
After the boat trip, we visit Meidan Bazaar, an underground souvenir market, and stroll along Shardeni Street, one of the most vibrant and popular areas of Tbilisi. It is well known for its cafés, restaurants, traditional folklore performances, art galleries, exhibitions, and lively nightlife.
We then cross the iconic Bridge of Peace and visit Europe Square. Here, you can choose to take a ride in the giant tethered hot-air balloon for spectacular city views or visit Madame Tussauds Wax Museum.
Our final stop is the KTW Wine Factory, where you will taste several varieties of Georgian wine and brandy. If you wish, you will also have the opportunity to purchase your favorite wines as souvenirs or gifts.
After the tour, we will either return you to your hotel or, if you prefer, recommend and take you to a traditional Georgian restaurant where you can enjoy authentic cuisine accompanied by live folklore performances.
The entire tour takes approximately 4–5 hours.
The itinerary is flexible and can be customized according to your preferences and the amount of free time you have. We can add or remove stops to create the perfect experience for you.
